Leila Glass, Ph.D.

Leila Glass, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist (CA PSY 30698) specializing in comprehensive assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She uses evidence-based, scientifically informed assessment and treatment to best inform diagnosis and recommendations. She has in-depth experience in the neuropsychological assessment of a wide variety of medical and psychiatric conditions including learning disorders, attention difficulties (AD/HD), developmental disabilities, epilepsy, brain injury, mood disorders, and other conditions that affect cognitive, behavioral, or emotional functioning.

Dr. Glass graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in cognitive neuroscience. She worked at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) prior to completing her doctoral training. Dr. Glass completed her M.S. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology, with emphasis on neuropsychology, at the Joint Doctoral Program of Clinical Psychology at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU). In addition, Dr. Glass has received training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Rady Children's Hospital inpatient and outpatient clinics, and the San Diego Veterans Administration. Dr. Glass completed her predoctoral clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Semel Institute of Neuroscience and Human Behavior within the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She served as Chief Fellow for the UCLA Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Program and worked as a member of the clinical team for the PEERSĀ® social skills intervention program for preschool, teen, and young adult.

In addition, Dr. Glass was honored to be awarded several NIH grants to fund her published research work focused on the academic, behavioral, and cognitive outcomes associated with prenatal alcohol exposure and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. Her primary interests lie in understanding the neurobehavioral profiles associated with neurodevelopmental conditions to inform effective targeted intervention to improve quality of life, academic, social, and cognitive outcomes.

Dr. Glass currently works as a clinical faculty member at UCLA and is a PEERS Certified provider. She also directs The NeuroGuidance Center and is affiliated with the Brain Learning Center.
